Why This Matters
San Fermín isn’t just running with bulls and bullfighting. It is a religious festival. A cultural inheritance. A ritual relationship with death, celebration, and community.
Understanding this changes everything.
Students consistently find that engaging with The Sun Also Rises before arriving in Pamplona transforms their experience — allowing them to see beyond spectacle and into the deeper cultural current of the fiesta.
You will:
- Demystify the Running of the Bulls
- Develop critical reading and analytical skills
- Engage in intercultural conversation
- Connect with fellow travelers before ever meeting in Spain
- Grow intellectually and spiritually through literature
